The idea to organise a show or meeting was born about ten years ago. Before cleaning became part of our working life, we organised cultural and social events.
There was a lack of information
When we started with our cleaning business, we tried to learn as much as we could about new methods as well as where to buy the right machines, chemical detergents, mops, etc. We wanted to obtain all the equipment in satisfactory quality. There was no trade fair for cleaning companies in the Czech Republic.
There were attempts to hold such an event every now and then, but I think it was not very successful for it was not organised by people really interested in this type of industry. They did not put their heart into it. When the first event passed, probably with no real profit, the next did not follow.
We visited several trade fairs focusing on cleaning to draw inspiration.
The Trade Fair’s Important Role
I read somewhere that the cleaning industry is the second largest industry. All other industries, such as the automobile, construction, tourism, and vets have their trade fairs and congresses. The cleaning industry has none.
Each industry needs a healthy competitive environment for its growth as well as new knowledge and new technologies. People in the industry need to meet on a regular basis, discuss their problems, and get new contacts.
Finally, suitable technology is necessary and people must get a hands-on experience and also compare the pros and cons with the competition. If possible, all should take place at a single venue.
It is needed to hold such meetings regularly, once a year.
Who Might Be Interested in the Trade Fair
Exhibitors – producers and sellers of cleaning machines, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners as well as producers and sellers of chemical detergents, bags, protective equipment, brushes, etc.
Visitors – cleaning companies, facility management, owners and managers of hotels, healthcare facilities, retirement homes, etc. – simply everyone who cares about the cleaning and care of their property.
